Make a Recycled Bath Towel Rug With This Simple Tutorial

Bath towels may be the hardest working items of your household. How else are we to dry off, add a fabulous look to our bathrooms and wipe up after Fluffy brings mud into the house. They can even be the best supplies for the cutest craft for you home! With just a few towels, she’s making a DIY bath towel rug!

Courtesy Linda Facci from HDTV Hand Made, first get three towels that are three different colors, scissors, needle and thread.

Linda folds each towel in half and then cuts them into one-inch strips. She cuts 13 strips to create a medium-sized bathroom rug. She then sews three different color strips at one end, and braids them together. When she gets to the end, she sews on another three strips and continues the process. She does that until she is left with a long rope.

Now for the fun part! Linda coils the very long braid and secures it by sewing as she turns. When she gets to the end, she secures it by sewing it tight.

The end result is something we adore! Would you mind something like this in your bathroom?
