I’m always looking for little pieces of decor to add to my house, especially items that coincide with the season.
With summer on its way (okay, okay, maybe I’m jumping the gun just a little bit – but it will get here eventually), these adorable seashell candles will be the perfect accessory to each room in my house!
Living near the ocean, I’m lucky to have easy access to plenty of seashells! However, for those who are a bit further than a hop, skip, or a jump from the coast, you can easily purchase bags of seashells from your local craft stores.
Other items required to follow along with this tutorial include tea light candles and spray paint. Then its pretty simple!
First you spray paint the shells with your color of choice. I chose to emit this step when I crafted these candles because I thought the au natural look was perfect already! Then remove the wick from the tea lights and glue it the the base of the shell. While the glue is setting, melt the candle wax over low heat and pour into the seashell. Once the wax has hardened, your seashell candles are good to go!
So go ahead and give your home that summery vibe and add a few of these easy-to-make candles! Don’t forget to SHARE this idea with your friends too!
