Sidewalk chalk is the best! As a kid I spend hours turning our driveway into the ocean, complete with mermaids! Even during the winter months you could find me at the chalkboard playing school.

I had no idea it was so easy to make your own sidewalk chalk in such bold and vibrant colors!

All you need is plaster of paris and tempera paint! Mix your plaster of paris with a little bit of water and add your paint until you have your desired color. Fill an ice cube tray or other small container with your mixture and allow it to dry overnight. When you pop it out you are left with homemade chalk in awesome custom colors!
