Here’s How To Make a Stylish DIY Watercolor Sweater

Fall is here, and very soon it will be winter, so those trendy sweatshirts are necessary. Mistakenly, I had always categorized sweatshirts as workout clothes. That was until I saw some for the most fashionable and instantly became addicted. Here is a neat DIY to spruce up those plain sweatshirts just hanging in the closet. It is amazing how this cheap this Water Color Sweatshirt is to create. Not to mention the funky, colorful effect that is produced.

You will need a sweatshirt, a watercolor dye kit, a paintbrush, a plate, cup and a sponge.

Simplicity is the name of this game. First insert a piece of cardboard inside of the sweatshirt to prevent the paint from bleeding through. Dampen your sponge with water, ring the excess, and then moisten your sweatshirt in the places where you would want to apply the color.

In a plate, mix the watercolors to achieve your desired colors. Then transfer onto the fabric. Allow the shirt to dry completely before you sport your new piece.

I love the tie-dye effect. I can’t wait to try this DIY with some of my favorite colors.

What do you think about the water color sweatshirt?

SHARE the love and pass it on.
