Nathan Beck packed his bags and left for his two-year long missionary trip in Samara, Russia. Of course he was sad to leave his family and friends behind, but one thing that was especially hard to say goodbye to was his dog, Bailey.

Bailey, who is an adorable mix of Beagle and Black and Tan Coonhound, was devastated when Nathan left. He kept looking around the house for him and would always go in his room to see if he was there. While Nathan was away on his two-year Mormon missionary trip his dog Bailey never stopped missing him.

So when the day finally came that Nathan returned home you can only imagine Bailey’s reaction. Nathan knocked on the door and it seemed like Bailey instantly knew it was him. He sprinted to the door barking!

The door opened, Nathan walked in and Bailey lost it. He started jumping all over him, licking him, and whining – he looked like he just could not contain his excitement. This is probably the sweetest and most heart-warming reunion of a dog and owner I’ve ever seen.

This video confirms the belief that dog’s really are man’s best friend! Whether you’re a dog or cat person, there’s no denying that dogs are some of the most loyal and loving creatures out there!
