Finding out that your pet has cancer is one of the worst things that a pet mommy or daddy can experience.

When YouTuber Mrs. Makai noticed that her dog Lily had fallen very ill overnight, she rushed her to the vet. It was there that Mrs. Makai heard what no pet owner ever wants to hear: your beloved animal is sick. Luckily, the vet on call was able to perform surgery on Lily immediately, as without it, it was possible that Lily wouldn’t have even made it through that very night.

Though the surgery was very expensive and the odds were stacked against her, the vet successfully removed the 6 pound tumor from Lily and sent it off to be examined.

When Lily’s mom received the news from the doctor, she insisted that Lily sit down for the news. She prefaced it by saying that in the vet’s 20ish years of healing animals, she’d never seen this type of tumor come back benign. But Lily? Well, Lily was the first!

As her mom shares with her the wonderful news, Lily dances around excitedly and is seriously smiling from ear to ear. What a special day. We’re so happy for Lily and her mommy!
