Hope For Paws received a disturbing call about a dog that had been spotted in the LA river. Supposedly he had been abused and thrown 30 feet down the canal. He was scared, shaking and sitting on garbage when they climbed into the river to rescue him.
Upon closer inspection the rescuer noticed that he was even missing a leg. The rushed him to the hospital where they discovered he had mange, bacterial infections and was malnourished. He got a bath, a blood transfusion and surgery to remove the remainder of his leg.
After naming him Jordan and getting him set up in a foster home they saw him thrive. He became the loving, playful and happy pup they always knew he could be!
