I can’t imagine how anyone could want to hurt an innocent puppy or kitten. It breaks my heart to think about it.
Tragically, stories of animal abuse are not all that uncommon. Though the animals showcased are incredibly resilient and thanks to the loving care of vets and volunteers, are often able to go on to lead full and healthy lives with loving families.
When Odysseus was found tied to a church fence in Fulton County, Georgia, he was so emaciated that veterinarians couldn’t even tell what kind of dog he was. He weighed in at only 28 pounds and his bones were visible from nearly every angle.

Thanks to the love and support of doctors, volunteers, and donors, Odysseus is now on the road to recovery. Those closest to him believe that he is a Boxer mix and say that he is one of the sweetest dogs they have ever encountered.
