Depending on what part of the country you lived in, the ringing someone’s doorbell and running away prank was a classic favorite. Many of us enjoyed it as children, but this woman is enjoying it at the young age of 82. When Mark Smyth encouraged his mother Olive to play the game on a day out to Stoneybatter, Dublin, he had no idea the outcome would be so hilarious.

According to a local report, he says, “My father just passed away in March and I wanted to cheer my mother up so I asked her what she would like to do for her birthday. She said she wanted to go back to the neighborhood where she grew up in Stoneybatter.”

Mark reveals, “When we arrived there her face lit up with happiness, and she started showing myself and my friend all her friends’ homes. Then she laughed and said, ‘God, I remember playing knick-knack on all these doors with my friends.  Oh, the memories!’  So I said, ‘Why don’t we do it now. Let’s relive your memories.”

So Olive and Mark’s friend went up to a door, knocked on it, and took off running.

“They thought I was taking a photo but instead, I videoed the clip for a laugh and the memory is a fantastic day for my beautiful mother.”

Although she did not make it far, Mark says in the description of the video, she was “caught red-handed.”

Absolutely hilarious!
