We’ve heard plenty of talent on the radio, but it’s not often we come across raw talent just waiting to be heard.

Meet Doug Bako. He is an aspiring musician and singer/songwriter. He plays the guitar, piano, loves to sing acapella and has a knack for beatboxing.

Doug is in his friend’s basement playing with his Voice Jam iPhone app. He demonstrates how awesome the app is by covering Ed Sheeran’s Wayfaring Stranger.

Not only is Doug voice unbelievably good, but so is the app that makes this cover a smash. Voice Jam allows singers to creatively run loops while singing, as we see Doug do in this video. The audio looping and song creation app works by recording sounds while playing them back in a repeating loop. Singers loop different sounds several times and create layers that accompany their singing in a flawless way.

There is no denying his talent. His soulful and soothing rendition sounds very similar to the original. Ed Sheeren is a hard act to follow but without much effort Doug nailed the challenged.

If only I can get an app to make me sing like that! He’s amazing!
