Dying Mother Leaves Behind 40 Greeting Cards For 4-Year-Old Daughter

Genevieve Lopez

Heather McManamy was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April 2013 and a year later was given her terminal diagnosis.

She will be leaving behind many who love her, but most importantly, her loving husband and darling 4-year-old daughter, Brianna.

Although, she wants nothing more than to be in her husband’s and daughter’s lives, the cancer has spread throughout her body, in her liver, bones and skull.

After her fourth round of chemo, nine in total, she has accepted her fate may be cut short.

So, she decided to leave something behind for her daughter so that she may remain in her memory throughout the years to come.

Heather has written in 40 different greeting cards so that she may celebrate with her daughter through all of life’s special events.

“They’re like this physical representation of ‘this is all of the stuff I’m going to miss,” she told ABC News. “I’m going to miss everything and I never like missing anything. I’m always the last one to leave the party.”

Inside each card, she has left her daughter words of wisdom, shares jokes, and wishes her all the happiness in the world.

Heather has also created videos for Brianna to watch when she’s older.

“I don’t care what she does in her life,” she added. “I just want her to find her happiness. Life it short. If she’s true to herself, everything will be OK.”

SHARE the love and pass it on.
