It seems like donuts are all the rage lately! When I was a kid we had glazed, frosted and powdered. Now they have donuts with maple and bacon, cereal, sprinkles and so much more!

The time of having to buy donuts is over as well, now you can make them in your own kitchen in minutes!

This recipe calls for a mini donut maker but you can also but them in the form of donut muffin tins if thats what you have on hand.

Not only does these donuts only take minutes to cook, they require very few ingredients! These are so easy that your kids could make them!

The main ingredient of these donuts is cake mix so your flavor possibilities are endless!

All you need to get started is:

1 box of cake mix

1 egg

1/4 cup of vegetable oil

1 cup of water

Mix all your ingredients together until well combined. Add your batter to a plastic bag and snip off one corner. Use your homemade piping bag to pipe the batter onto your greased donut maker until all the wells have been filled. Close your donut maker and allow them to bake for about three minutes. When they’re done, remove and let cool before frosting.

For the frosting you’ll need:

1 tablespoon of melted butter

1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar

2 tablespoons of milk

Whisk all your ingredients together until you’re left with a yummy glaze. Dip one half of your donut into the glaze, remove and allow the glaze to set.
