Casey, who is an OR Registered Nurse, went into work just like any other day. As a nurse, her days are usually unexpected but this particular day took a VERY surprising turn.

Unfortunately, Casey’s first marriage ended in tragedy. Shortly after her wedding she became widowed, leaving her devastated. Until the day she met Mike, who oddly enough had a very similar story. Both Casey and Mike were widowed by their first marriages within two days of each other. Their similar experiences brought them together and through that they were able to find love again!

On this particular day at work Casey and Mike’s life together would forever change. Casey arrived at work and was told that she needed to scrub an emergency C-section. She immediately sprang into action – prepping for surgery and getting everything ready to go! While in the midst of preparing herself for an emergency C-section another nurse opens the door to the surgery room, and in walks Mike.

It took her a second to realize what was happening but as soon as it registered, Casey was SHOCKED! Mike pulled out a ring and got down on one knee, in the middle of the room in front of everyone! She is genuinely surprised by this life-changing moment! The entire hospital staff kept this a secret, and it went off without a hitch! Although, Casey was a little confused as to why everyone was taking their time when it was supposed to be an emergency!
