Firefighters are some of the most courageous men and women in our country. They bravely put themselves in situations where the rest of us wouldn’t dream of going. From fighting fires to stopping suicides, they deserve our utmost respect for the things they go through daily. Below, a firefighter does something that could have ended his life, but instead, saves another.

In Brazil, the local firefighters were called to help a woman who looked like she was trying to commit suicide. She was climbing out of her window when a fireman appeared in the window above hers. When it looked like she was getting ready to jump, he swung from the window above her knocking her back into the room she came from.

We are so thankful for the firefighters that turned her story into a happy one!
