The octopus is an eerie, ancient and revered animal that cultures have been fascinating with since the beginning of mankind. There’s something about their long, suction-cup studded tentacles and malleable bodies that is mesmerizing.

When this group was out fishing off the coast of Alaska, they happened to catch an octopus on their boat. From the looks of this guy, I don’t think he was too thrilled to be there. The commentator on the video, who I’m guessing has had experience with octopus, said that it could squeeze through anything that its beak would fit through.

So, they watched in utter shock and disbelief at what this amazing creature did next. You can see it sliding across the floor of the boat, feeling around for any openings. Once it finally finds one it starts squeezing through, one tentacle at a time.

And sure enough, slowly but surely the entire HUGE octopus fits its whole body through one tiny opening in the boat. This was absolutely amazing and mesmerizing to watch! I have never seen anything like it!
