If you were to ask most children you know what they want for their birthday or Christmas or while grocery shopping at Target, most would answer with a Barbie, Power Ranger, or new video game. But there are many, many children out there who would answer the question of “what do you want?” with such things as food, water, and love.

It’s heartbreaking, isn’t it?

Recently, a post by Dreamcatchers for Abused Children went viral. It was of a photo of a list an orphan in Oklahoma had made of things that he wants.

The list is rough to read (warning: you will cry) and includes such basic necessities as a warm bed, love, and a toothbrush.
