The African Grey Parrot is exotic and an extremely intelligent bird.  They are exceptional talkers, and their intelligence can rival that of 5-year-old children, and this footage proves it. This parrot is constantly trying to outsmart his owner and is quite a prankster.

Watch as he takes its owners pencil over and over again – even laughing and taunting him. Hilarious! Even the pet cat stops in to watch the fun.

That guy needs to work on his grip strength, or he might want to get another pencil, because from this looks of it, this parrot is not giving up on what he wants. 

According to local news reports, Stanley, the grey parrot spent the first two years of his life in a cage, but since his adoption by the Jensen family, his confidence has grown. I think it is safe to say that it might have grown to an intellectual level!

Stanley has no regard for his owner’s attempts to do the crossword. He just wants the pencil, and even with help from the cat and dog, nobody can keep this parrot in line.

These birds require serious commitment and are great lifelong companions. Experienced owners will surely tell you that anyone should consider an African Grey Parrot a pet, because the privilege of living with one is truly a unique and unforgettable experience.
