Glass nails are the latest trend that has nail salons and makeup counters buzzing across the country. After blowing up in South Korea, this trend has made its way across the Pacific and into America. These fabulous patterns make your nails look like beautiful stained glass windows and turn your cuticles into cathedrals!

Eunkyung Park started the trend in her South Korean salon, Unistella. After she posted a picture of her latest nail design on Instagram, the trend exploded on social media. This beautiful nail art may look like it’s dangerous, but it’s actually very safe. Those aren’t broken shards of glass covering people’s nails, it’s harmless cellophane that is simply painted over with nail polish, resulting in these amazing patterns that aren’t just limited to the “broken glass” look. The sheer geometry of some of these designs are hard to wrap your head around.

 

The design possibilities are virtually endless. Sparkly tips, mirrored nails, dazzling diamonds and insanely complex geometrical patterns. That’s just the beginning. This new design craze is not only incredibly original, it’s also breathtakingly beautiful.
