There’s talent, and then there’s Calum Scott. He’s been named the ‘Golden Boy’ of “Britain’s Got Talent” and the second he begins singing, it all starts to make sense. Any performance he touches turns to pure gold!
With an effortlessly smooth voice, he takes on a pop song called, “Dancing On My Own” by the British star Robyn. This slowed down version of the dance ballad pulls at the heart strings of not only the judges, but the entire audience as well! It’s no wonder his audition earned him a standing ovation.
But what makes Scott truly remarkable is that he steps onto the stage moments after judges denied his sister. Although he had a heavy heart, he bravely walks center stage and belts out the song with all he’s got!
The hard-to-impress judge, Simon Cowell, gives him a grin while the entire audience is booming with support. Then, Cowell pushes the golden buzzer in front of him, which sends Scott straight to the next round. I guess he really does live up to his golden nickname!
