When This Gorgeous Hummingbird Moves His Head, Something INCREDIBLE Happens

Hummingbirds are anything but common in appearance. They have dynamic coloration and their rapier-like bills perfectly adapt to each species’ flowery food source. Anna’s Hummingbirds are among the most beautiful of its kind.

Anna’s Hummingbirds are mostly green and gray. The male’s head and throat are covered in lustrous reddish-pink feathers that can look dull brown or gray without direct sunlight. When the bird moves, the colors change by the second. The sight is mesmerizing and magical.

This video captures the true elegance of Anna’s Hummingbirds. The bird was in its natural element, but when it moved its head in different directions, something amazing happens.

Watch as it majestically turns so many shades of color, from metallic pink to a glittery gold. You’ll never see anything like this on another bird. This male hummingbird is presenting his best, since he’s looking for a mate. According to Kaufman, “The male hummingbirds flash their colors for sexual selection.” Wow!

The male species never cease to amaze- even in bird-form!
