All 93-year-old Mary Lou wants more than anything is to see her granddaughter before she goes blind. Unlike typical grandmother-granddaughter bonds, this relationship is unhealthy and absolutely tragic.

50 years ago, Mary Lou dedicated her life to the Jehovah’s Witness Organization before disassociating with them with her husband. It was a difficult decision she decided to make, a decision that ended her relationship with her beloved granddaughter, Jessica. Jessica didn’t approve of her grandparents decision to leave the organization.

Religion is a very sensitive subject to debate and I take no stance on the matter. All I know is that this just might be the saddest story I’ve ever heard.
