When Reddit user Vsky came across an old blue safe that used to belong to his grandmother, he quickly realized that absolutely no one in the family knew it existed. Naturally excited to view the contents, he and his father estimated that it weighed some 2000 pounds, and tried everything to get it opened.
After attempting several wrong combinations, they found a piece of paper with the code and opened it. What was inside amazed them!
On the social media site, Vsky shared that his grandmother had passed away 6 years ago, and his family recently started cleaning out her garage. Once inside they found grandma had stored bank money bags and rifles. Inside of the bags were some 800 silver coins, mostly silver dollars, with some dating back to the late 1800s.

One coin was apparently 125 years old! Another quarter was issued in 1964, and according to Vsky, the coin collection is valued at $15,000. Grandma also stored a “Winchester 30/30, as well as a .410 shotgun and a deed to her property” that the family had no knowledge of.
