A German woman made headlines after giving birth to four babies at once. It wasn’t just the fact that she had quadruplets or that she already has 13 other children. No, no, this woman became famous because she is 65-years-old.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Despite having 13 children and 7 grandchildren, Annegret Raunigk of Germany decided she wanted more babies to look after. So, she decided to do IVF. It resulted in a pregnancy of quadruplets.

Raunigk gave birth to the four babies at only 26 weeks via C-Section. Despite the early delivery, the babies and mother are all healthy. Still, Raunigk has received substantial backlash for her decision to keep having children. She tells people to mind their own business.

“I sleep very little but I know I can take care of them…This is not about egotism and it is not selfishness. I like children – they keep me young. You get more tolerant the older you get…I would never dream of telling anyone to do this or that. I am looked after, consulted, observed. I am fit and I am ready to have these babies and to care for them.”
