Each time a new hair trend comes along, it never fails to shock and surprise us. This year, a German hair stylist has unveiled a creation that may just be one of the most unique looks yet.

The elaborate technique involves teasing long strands of hair in a way that makes a hat. German stylist Georgy Kot is most known for his intricate, and sculpture-like hairstyles, and now he has done it again with his formulation of a fascinator-style top hat.

To create this fab look, Kot begins by drawing a section of the model’s long, blonde locks into a ponytail.

He then teases a section into a messy bun before wrapping a broad strand around it, the same way you would do a bun.

Next, he teases a section around its base to form a wide brim, adding in smaller strands to create the appearance of feathers, and securing with clips. The resulting look gives the appearance of a honey-colored hat that is nothing short of amazing.

In another tutorial, Emily Serpico recreates a hat she did for Season 8 of the television show Faceoff. The model had blue hair, and she sectioned off the portion of hair she intended to use. She then teases, rolls and pins to create a top hat.

At first, it looks confusing, but when she adds the ribbon, it looks like a work of art.
