There’s bravery, then there are these brothers who just pulled a hammerhead shark from the ocean.

The brothers were enjoying their day off on the Destin, Florida shoreline when one of them noticed a hammerhead unusually close to shore. When it approached them, they noticed a series of hooks lodged deep into the fish’s mouth. Without hesitation, the brothers run towards the 10-foot shark and drag him to shore.

Others gathered around the two in awe, and some quite possibly in terror, watching the two brothers rescue this shark in distress. Surrounded by Ooos and Aaas, the brothers held the shark still and carefully removed the hooks and the fishing line from its mouth. In no more than 5 minutes, the brothers went from tanning to saving the day!

The shark was safely released back into the water and just before it swam away, he came back to say, Thank you. Or at least we’d like to think so.
