Shiloh Peppin was just like any other child her age, but she suffers from an extremely rare disease. Sirenomelia, or “Mermaid Syndrome” as it is more commonly referred to is when a person is born with their legs fused together.

Most people born with this condition undergo surgery to have their legs separated and organs reconstructed when they are less than a year old. Unfortunately, this was not the case for Shiloh and thus, her entire life has been a fight for survival.  

Yet against all odds, Shiloh lived way past her expected few month life span and made it all the way to her tenth birthday. Although this was the last birthday she would ever celebrate, this joyful young girl lived a vibrant life!
