Not only is this how-to tutorial impressive, it actually results in something really beautiful.

With some liquid products that you probably already have in your kitchen, you can recreate the super cool stacking trick demonstrated in the video below.

All you’ll need is dark corn syrup, dish washing soap, water, vegetable oil and rubbing alcohol. By layering these in the right order, the different liquids stay completely separated and end up creating beautiful tiers of colors. Even after shaking the bottle, when the liquids settle, the different liquids remain separated!

How cool is that?! I think this is a great science experiment my kids will love! The best part? The final product can even be used as decoration!
