Each year at the Critics’ Choice Awards, the best men and women in the film and television industry are celebrated. At this year’s ceremony, Leonardo DiCaprio was named Best Actor for The Revenant, and Brie Larson picked up Best Actress for her role in Room. But it was the youngest actor in the room who stole the show.
Jacob Tremblay has set a new benchmark when it comes to cute acceptance speeches. The nine-year-old Room actor melted hearts when he collected the award for Best Young Actor. The monumental moment for the young actor was topped off by his adorable, but mature, speech. He captivated the crowd from his first sentence, “Woooooah. This is super cool. This is the best day of my life,” he said while checking out the award.
Due to his miniature height, host Bradley James ran back into the fold to hold the microphone for Jacob while he worked his magic. “I first want to say thank you to all the critics who voted for me. It must be a super hard vote because of all the other great actors in this category,” he said as the crowd melted.
He then thanked his movie team along with his parents who he says that he loves. For an added touch of sweetness, he revealed where he would be putting the award- on the shelf next to his Millennium Falcon.
