Killer whales are really, really smart. And apparently, they sometimes grow tired of eating fish day in and day out. So, a killer whale in captivity decided to use his smarts to switch up his meal time.

A sneaky killer whale noticed that whenever he left a fish floating around the water during his mealtime, birds would often fly over and lustfully stare at his fish. So, he decided to use this to advantage.

The whale decided to lure the birds over by placing a fish near the edge of the pool. Then he simply waited for the birds to swarm and snatched one up! While it definitely doesn’t have a happy ending for the bird, it is pretty cool to watch this killer whale in action. Nature at its finest.
