There are some things in life that are a bit hard to explain to your little ones. Having ‘the talk’ with your kids is a conversation most parents have difficulty with. But these parents have a different type of conversation to tackle first. The two men behind the camera are a gay couple and are being confronted about their relationship by their somewhat confused 5-year-old nephew.

The innocence and purity of his reaction is too sweet. At first, he says, “That’s funny! I’ve never seen husbands and husbands!” But then when it all starts to make sense he asks, “So that means you love each other?” And then, like the true little kid he is, he says, “Alright I’m going to go play now.”

He may only be 5 years old, but his perfect response illustrates how we all should react to this simple conversation.
