‘Never judge a book by its cover’ is one of the oldest and wisest sayings that can be applied to almost any situation, especially this one. When you first look at this old, run-down looking motel you might not think much of it. But little do you know, hiding behind the walls of this lackluster motel is one of Miami’s best-kept secrets!
A restaurant doesn’t need a flashy exterior to prove its culinary worth and Blue Collar in Miami’s historic art deco district is a perfect example of that. This hidden gem serves up some of the most sought after dishes in all of Miami! From grilled mahi mahi and jambalya to shrimp and grits, this place has it all. But what it’s REALLY famous for is its oxtail.
Oxtail is a traditional Haitian dish so it’s very popular throughout Miami and restaurant-goers say Chef Daniel Serfer’s spicy oxtail dish is the best in town.
“He’s got Miami’s palate right on his little finger,” one patron said and I don’t think she could’ve said it better.
Chef Serfer shows us how to make his signature dish and host, Guy Fieri, was instantly in love. This dish comes with oxtail (seasoned to perfection, obviously) over mashed potatoes, topped off with some fresh chives. This flavorful favorite packs a punch that keeps everyone coming back for more.
