Lorraine and Don were married in 1989 and were excited for what life would hold for them. In 1995 everything changed when Don was diagnosed with ALS. Every week there was something that he used to be able to do that he couldn’t do anymore and in 1999 he went on the ventilator and lost the ability to speak. For 15 years he was unable to verbally communicate with his family until one day, everything changed.

As soon as Not Impossible labs heard about Don they knew that wanted to do something to help him get his voice back and thats exactly what they did. They were able to design a computer program that would allow Don to communicate and the first thing he said to his wife made me cry! It’s so amazing that even after 15 years of not being able to speak their love for each other is just as strong!
