How To Make Margarita Popsicles

What’s more refreshing on a hot summer day than an ice cold, crisp margarita? With its citrusy tang and tequila-packed punch, I think margaritas are the quintessential summertime drink!

Now what if you could turn that delicious, thirst-quenching cocktail into another seasonal favorite? No brainer, right?!

If I’ve caught your attention, just wait till you see the recipe below – I’m talking creamy margarita popsicles.

That’s right, our favorite adult beverage is being transformed into a tasty treat that will bring us right back to our childhood, with a much needed extra kick! Ideal for just about any backyard outing, party, or get together, I can almost guarantee these bad boys will be a hit!

A generous helping of lime juice gives these popsicles the sought after classic margarita flavor while sweetened condensed milk provides the perfect touch of smooth sweetness. Tequila gives a powerful bite while a splash of orange juice balances out the zesty combination of flavors. And of course, no margarita would be complete without a bit of salt!

After you’ve filled your dixie cups with the boozy filling, add a slice of lime to each popsicle stick, giving your frozen treat a picture-perfect base. Stick these suckers into the freezer, and try to contain your excitement as you wait for them to harden.

When you pull your popsicles out of the freezer, sprinkle with a hefty dose of salt and serve immediately.

My mind is rattling off so many ideas for other cocktail-inspired popsicles (pina coladas anyone?!), I can’t wait to try them all!

SHARE the love and pass it on!
