What would you do if you were to see a parade of elephants on the street? The lumbering giants are larger than life, and if you are like me, you would probably be running in the opposite direction.
But not this guy. The motorbike he was riding irritated a herd in Khao Yai National Park, so what does he do? He gently apologizes to the elephants!
The national park is the third largest in Thailand. Situated mainly in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, it is just 3 hours away from Bangkok. It covers an area of over 800 square miles, including rain forests and grasslands. It is a very popular destination for both foreign and local tourists. Visitors venture the park to see the amazing mammals. There are also many mineral licks along the roads that attract bigger mammals such as elephants, gaurs, deer and many more. According to the park’s site, there are some 3,000 species of plants, 320 species of birds and 66 species of animals, including Asian elephants.
Because of incidents of elephants damaging cars, vehicles are limited according to the park’s website. It is logical that a motorcycle would be a viable means of transportation through the park. But I am not sure that the elephants may disagree.
Just look at this interaction. Yikes! They told him!

The herd was agitated by a Thai man on motorcycle thundering past. He is seen trying to calm the elephants before retreating into the woods.
Terrifying? Most definitely! But it totally worked. Phew!
