There are still good people in this world. Mike Lewis, a minister at JesusPainter Ministries and Rob Westerman, a pastor of SNC Norwood decided to prove it and pay it forward. The two have been friends since high school and came up with the idea to take $400 dollars and do with it something incredible. The compassionate friends visited an Ohio grocery store to surprise some 15 customers by paying for their groceries at the checkout counter.

Their reactions? Grab the tissues, because they’ll surely make your eyes well up. No wonder this amazing act of philanthropy went viral. The touching reactions displayed by the unsuspecting customers are awe-inspiring. Their act has received messages from strangers all around the world who have been inspired by their kindness.

You never know what people are going through these days, and by the reactions of the customers, almost all are extremely grateful for the generosity. But they’re not just doing it for the individuals. The pastor and minister hope their act of altruism will encourage other people to do the same.

“Our goal is that people see this video and go out and be nice to people. Let someone over in traffic or smile at someone. Christian or not, it doesn’t matter. Just do good!” 

One of the customers said that she had been experiencing a rough patch in her life. She asked God just that day to send her a sign… and she surely got it.
