The restaurant industry is notorious for having questionable practices regarding meats, vegetables and food preparation. That’s why nearly 1 in every 6 people gets food poisoning from the food they eat each year.
So, when I heard that this practice was going on, I was shocked.
There is a substance being called “meat glue”. The mysterious white powder is used to take otherwise unusable pieces of meat and put them together into a solid piece of “prime” steak.
Most people who order a steak won’t even be able to tell the difference, even professionals have a hard time telling the difference. However, the substance they are using can lead to undercooked meat and even food poisoning in some cases.
If the men working with it have to be careful not to breathe it in then we should probably be worried about ingesting it as well!
If you know anyone who enjoys a good restaurant steak then you need to SHARE the love and pass it on!
