Bratz dolls are the incredibly glamorous dolls that you find in stores worldwide. They have ultra flirtatious looks with full lips, elaborate makeup and attitude that surpasses the little girls that actually play with the dolls.

A mother and artist from Australia named Sonia Singh decided to give these popular dolls a much need “make under.”

She says this project simply started as a craft and never intended for her new dolls to go viral. She buys the dolls from second-hand stores and removes their bold makeup to give them more “down-to-earth looks.”

There has been a huge response to her dolls and sparked the conversation around the sexualization of toys for young children. Sonia says the attention is extremely overwhelming and that she never meant to make a statement with her craft. People worldwide are loving her dolls and tell Sonia her dolls, “are the kind of dolls they want their children to play with.”
