Summer is arguably one of the best seasons of the year. There’s not a whole lot to dislike about these warm and happy months What’s not to love about sunshine, beaches, bathing suits and barbecues? But there is one tiny little problem that pops up when it starts to get warm outside … mosquitos.
If you live in a humid climate, you know exactly what I’m talking about! You could go to bed one night and wake up the next morning with 32 bites on your legs — trust me I know, I speak from experience.
Luckily, there’s one easy solution to this pesky problem and it doesn’t require a lot of money or time! To nip your mosquito problem in the bud you’re going to need a few things you probably already have in your home — a plastic two liter bottle, sharp serrated knife, water, brown sugar and yeast.
You start off by chopping off the top of the bottle. Set that aside and fill the bottom of the plastic bottle with ¼ cup of brown sugar, one cup of water and ¼ teaspoon of yeast. This concoction creates is irresistible to mosquitos, they’ll be drawn to it in a heartbeat.
Once the mixture is made, take the top of the bottle and making sure the cap is off, place it upside down on top of the bottom half of the bottle. This will create a trap for the mosquitos — they’ll be lured in by the scent but wont be able to leave!
This is one tip everyone needs to see this summer. What did you think of this useful hack?
