There is no quicker way to ruin an outdoor bonfire or barbecue than a swarm of mosquitos chasing you around and biting at your neck.
Since summer is here it’s time to protect yourself from those disease-filled blood suckers and keep your family bite free.
It’s hard to remember to put on bug spray and covering yourself in chemicals doesn’t always keep the bugs away. So why not try a mosquito trap this summer? You only need a few things to create your own and you probably already have all of them!
You’ll need:
2-liter bottle
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon of yeast
Cut your bottle in half and add your ingredients to the bottom. Place the top of your bottle inside the bottom and tape in place.
The yeast creates carbon dioxide which attracts mosquitos to your bottle trap. Once they fly into the bottle they are trapped and can’t get out! These are safe to keep near your family and a sure fire way to keep you from scratching all summer!
