It seemed like an ordinary day, but what one construction site in Toronto, Canada caught on film is something you’ve only heard in fables. A mother duck and her ducklings begin a journey at the edge of a busy highway. Perhaps it was the shortest route to their destination, but with vehicles zooming by, there’s no telling why this daring mother duck decided to take her family across the wide-spread highway.

The moment they step their webbed-feet onto the pavement, I held my breath and my heart raced faster than the cars that passed them by. The family tries to stay as close together as possible, but their little bodies are blown around by the breeze of the giant vehicles that swarm around them.
