1000 Teens Stood Outside Their Hotel Room and Sang The National Anthem

I defy you not to get choked up just looking at this. Take a look at a very cool, and now viral, moment involving some high school choir performers. The Kentucky All-State Choir sings the national anthem from their hotel room balconies on all 18 stories of the hotel.

In the evening, after the All State Choir conference in Louisville, Kentucky, competitors returned to their Hyatt Hotel to rest up. As we all know, music never sleeps and that allowed for something magical to happen. When you hear this rendition, it will just send chills down your spine and make pride swell in your heart.

The stirring cover of “The Star-Spangled Banner” can be hailed as one of the most profound heard. As it turns out, this performance is actually a tradition at the Kentucky Music Educators Association’s conference in Louisville for hundreds of high school music students to belt out the national anthem from the balconies every night at 11 p.m.

One would think that 1000 teens in a hotel would be mayhem, but this ritual where they raise a ruckus at every night may be the most beautiful thing you hear all day.

What an amazing tradition! What do you think of the choir?

SHARE the love and pass it on.
