They say that jaguars are the most aquatic of all the jungle cats and when you see what this man managed to capture on camera, you’ll be convinced.
It was a hot day in central Brazil when he noticed a large, adult male jaguar stalking along the bank. It didn’t take long for the majestic feline to spot what look to be an appetizing meal. Up ahead was a crocodile, bathing in the sunlight upon a rock in the middle of the river. The crocodile never suspected it, but feet behind him was the hungry jaguar ready to pounce.
But before he made his move, the jaguar had to swim across the bank, and he did so with so much grace. Without any splash, the jaguar managed to move his body from one side of the bank to the other, never once attracting any attention from the crocodile. He slowly approached him and in less than one second, leaped onto the crocodile.
With one bite to the neck, the crocodile was defeated. It’s an amazing sight just how smooth and majestic this jaguar managed to conquer his prey, even the camera man was in awe.
It’s no wonder why this raw moment caught on tape was featured in National Geographic. It’s truly incredible.
