Hearing a story about an abandoned baby completely breaks my heart. I cannot imagine leaving a helpless baby all on his own.

This baby boy, who is about 6-12 weeks old, was found in a cardboard box in an apartment building in Russia. But, his savior isn’t your average hero. This furry friend kept the baby warm in the cardboard box as he meowed for help.

One of the residents in the building came to see what the noise was about, and then found the heroic cat and abandoned baby together. The woman who found the baby boy said she also found a bag of baby food and diapers near him. The boy was then taken to a local hospital where doctors determined he is healthy and well. The police are now investigating this story to determine the baby’s identification and to find his parents.

Thanks to his protective savior, this baby is on his way to a healthy life!
