In fact, neonatal care is so crucial that the nursing industry has responded with a specialized nursing focus that concerns itself with the medical care provided to newborns.

Neonatal nursing professionals work with newborns that are born early or with serious illnesses, helping to stabilize the new infants and ensure that their lives get off to the healthiest start possible. Kleenex has produced the most tear-jerking ad saying thank you to one of these heroes.

Aptly titled “Tiny Miracles,” the emotional video shows one NICU nurse being reunited with the children whose lives she saved at birth. Nurse Renee shares that working in the NICU is emotionally draining. In fact, the nurses never know if “some of the babies will make it through the shift.” Nonetheless, it is a job she has done at the WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, for the last 33 years.

To surprise this miracle worker, Kleenex showed Renee a short video in which tearful parents express gratitude for her love and care over the years. The parents and children from the video then enter the room for a touching reunion.
