There are times when all you see on the news is how cops are bad and brutal individuals. But there are so many cases that we don’t see like the one below. A police officer’s job is to defend and protect and this officer did just that.

An on-duty officer received a call one afternoon about a possibly unconscious infant in a residential neighborhood. When he arrived onsite, the door to the apartment was open and the mother was standing in the door crying.

Her daughter had been sleeping all morning and when she went to check on her discovered that she wasn’t breathing. The officer immediately took control of the situation and began performing mouth to mouth on the little one.

It was only a few seconds before she started breathing on her own and moving her arms and legs. The police officer remained calm and assured the mother that her daughter would be fine.

Although we’re not sure what caused the baby to stop breathing, we know that without that police officer, this story could have had a very different ending. Thank goodness that little angel is alright!
