Precious Cargo Recently Recalls Infant One-Piece Garments Due to Choking Hazard

New moms have a lot on their plate. They’re sleep-deprived, emotional, anxious, nervous, scared, happy, excited…the list goes on, really. They worry about nap times and feedings and crib bumpers and baths and things like whether or not the baby enjoys their singing voice. But the things they shouldn’t worry about? The baby choking on a onesie.

Unfortunately for new moms today, however, that is a legitimate concern.

Fox 8 of High Point, North Carolina reported that Precious Cargo recently pulled a onesie due to three faulty snaps. The snaps, which ensure the onesie is properly kept together, reportedly did not stay snapped and therefore posed a choking hazard. Frighteningly, over 500,000 onesies had already been produced and shipped before someone realized the potentially life-threatening mistake.

The onesies apparently were mostly used for promotional purposes, meaning that companies placed logos and whatnot across the front. It’s unclear at this time which companies purchased and distributed the onesies to its employees/customers, but a recall by the Consumer Product Safety

Commission has been issued on the item. People who currently own the onesie are encouraged to return the product for a full return. Double check your baby’s drawers, new mommies! This is alarming!

SHARE the love and pass it on!
