There’s nothing more breathtakingly beautiful in this world than birth. It’s nature and the circle of life that brings humans and animals together. Animal, human or plant – in one way or another we’re all born and bring life into this world and it’s such a beautiful thing to embrace!

The Sumatran orangutan was captured on video giving birth– for the first time ever! Footage of this “miracle birth,” as they call it, has never before been captured on film before, until now! And it’s truly amazing!

WARNING: There are some graphic images in this video. Especially in the beginning when the mother orangutan is giving birth.

What you’re about to see is animal acting purely on instinct. Although what this orangutan mom does right after giving birth may be somewhat disgusting to actually see live, you have to admit nature really is beautiful!

Immediately after bring her little bundle of joy to life, she cradles her baby close to her and licks the baby, removing all the amniotic fluid. She then brings her newborn over to the conservationist to show him her beautiful baby.

This video was shot at the Durrell Wildlife Conservative Trust, a conservation organization that strives to save species from extinction and provide a sanctuary and breeding center for endangered species.
