All dogs deserve a loving home but for some pups it takes a while to get there.

Courtney was suffering from life threatening injuries when her owners chained her behind a Walmart and left her to die. While she was chained up she became tangled in the ropes and made her injuries even more life threatening. Courtney became so desperate to escape she ended up gnawing off her own leg in order to get free. When the shelter found Courtney they had to perform surgery to amputate the rest of her leg and additional surgery to remove bone fragments from her stomach.

Despite all that she has been through Courtney just wants to be loved. Once she has healed she will go to a loving home and live the life she deserves!
