Every time I go paddle boarding all I see is sand and seaweed. But when 27-year-old Luke Reilly was out for a morning paddle board session, something happened that he’ll never forget.

The New Zealand native was about 200 meters off shore when he saw orcas beneath him diving for sting rays. He didn’t think too much of the situation until one of the orcas started heading straight for him!

The giant whale popped up merely inches from his board and tried to bite the back of it. He shouted, “HEY!” and the whale let go. I guess his board wasn’t very tasty! Luke seemed calm, knowing the orca was only curious, but if I were there I would have been freaking out!

It’s a good thing He was filming because I don’t think ANYONE would believe a story like this!
