Brighten Up Your Home With These DIY Painted Bottles

Angela Markus

There are amazing DIYs available that are sure to brighten up our days and make our homes beautiful. Who doesn’t love a gorgeous assortment of flowers? As we all thrive to do what we can to recycle and upcycle, this project allows you to make the best-painted bottles ever. They will accentuate any room with a bunch of lilies or orchids!

To replicate these, you will need glass bottles (ensure they are clean), rubber bands, painters tape, aluminum foil, scissors, and spray paint of your choice.

Place the rubber bands on bottles by sliding them to create a striped pattern, and the apply painters tape above the top rubber band. Next, cover the top of the bottle with foil and tape down the bottom edge. This will ensure that the foil will not go below the tape.

Go outside and spray paint the bottles in several light coats until opaque. You will need to wait about a minute in between each coat.

Next, allow the paint to dry completely for about an hour before cutting off the tape. Carefully pull the rubber band away from the bottle or use scissors to snip it. Now, remove the rest of the tape and foil. Finally, fill your new vases with your favorite flowers.
